Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival in Bratislava

Arrival at Vienna/Bratislava airport. Transfer to the hotel in Bratislava. Check in. At the evening meeting with your English speaking guide and short introduction of  tour and itinerary. Overnight in Bratislava.

Bratislava Grand City Tour & Small Carpathian Wine Route

Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning meeting at hotel’s lobby with your guide and start of  Bratislava Grand City Tour.  Firstly start with panorama tour of Bratislava and admiring Blue Church, Presidential Palace, Governmental Palace, Palisady District, Slavin Monument with outstanding view on Bratislava and Bratislava Castle. Afterwards continue the tour by walking part and discovering the historical city center of Bratislava including Opera House, St. Martin’s Cathedral, Primate’s Palace, St. Michael’s Gate and many more monuments. Lunch break and departure to Small Carpathian Wine Route, the wine region located on outskirts of Bratislava. Entrance to Red Stone Castle, with the biggest cellars in Central Europe, continue to wine towns Modra, Pezinok & Svaty Jur. Wine tasting of organic local wines in a small winery. Return to Bratislava. Overnight in Bratislava.

Trnava - Cicmany - Rajecka Lesna - Zilina

Buffet breakfast at the hotel. Departure towards Trnava a city located 50 km from Bratislava. Trnava is also well known as “Littler Rome of Slovakia” , thanks the numerous cathedrals, basilicas, churches and monasteries located in the city. During Ottoman Wars, when Bratislava was a capital city of Hungarian Kingdom, Trnava was a seat of archbishop. Continue to a lovely wooden village Cicmany, famous thanks to the wooden houses painted with white ornaments, which are very popular in Slovakia. Continue to a pilgrimage site Rajecka Lesna, and entrance to Slovakian wooden Bethlehem showing the customs and landscape of Slovakia. Continue to SPA Town Rajecke Teplice, where it is possible to relax at Thermal SPA Aphrodite. Drive to Zilina and overnight.

Zilina - Vratna Valley - Orava - Low Tatras

Buffet breakfast at the hotel. Departure to one of the most beautiful valleys of Slovakia – Vratna Valley. Taking  a cable car to Snilovske Peak and admiring the nature of Small Fatra National Park. Possible to participate in cheese workshop in a small handcraft cheese factory – Koliba Syrex. Continue to one of the most traditional and authentic regions of Slovakia, Orava Region. Entrance to “Dracula Castle” , because in Orava Castle was filmed the very first film about Dracula, Dracula from Nossferattu in 1922. Continue to Vlkolinec (UNESCO), a wooden mountain village which is still inhabited. Continue to Low Tatras and overnight. 

 

Day 4
Day 5

High Tatras

Buffet breakfast at the hotel. This day will be dedicated to the biggest Slovakian Mountains, High Tatras. Stroll along glacial lake Strbske Pleso, take a cable car to Skalnate Pleso (1754 m). In the afternoon visit of city of Poprad, with it’s medieval gothic part Spisska Sobota. Return to Low Tatras and overnight.

Belianska Cave - Pieniny - Bardejov - Kosice

Buffet breakfast at the hotel. Departure to Belianska Cave, and discovering also the rich underground of Slovakia. Continue to National Park Pieniny, located in Slovakian – Polish border. Take a chance to try very unique Slovakian experience, the wooden rafting on Plte on Dunajec river. Continue to beautiful gothic city Bardejov (UNESCO), walking tour of historical city center with basilica of St. Egidius. Continue by visiting wooden church of St. Francis from Assisi (UNESCO). Departure to the second biggest Slovakian City and capital city of East part of Slovakia – Kosice. Walking tour in a beautiful city center and overnight in Kosice. 

Day 6
Day 7

Spiss - Banska Stiavnica

Buffet breakfast at the hotel. This day will be dedicated to gothic region SPISS, full of UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE sites. Entrance to the biggest castle of Central Europe, the Spiss Castle (UNESCO) with Slovakian Vatican, Spisska Kapitula with St. Martin’s Cathedral. Continue to medieval town Levoca and entrance to basilica of St. Jacob with unique wooden altar of Master Paul from Levoca (UNESCO). Continue to former mining town Banska Stiavnica (UNESCO), walking tour of beautiful hostorical city center with entrance to New Castle. Overnight in Banska Stiavnica. 

Day 7
DAY 8

Departure back home

Buffet breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Bratislava/ Vienna airport.
